Apple Cake


German apple cake is a wonderfully moist and dense treat that stays delicious for quite a while. It’s been a beloved family favorite for decades. Enjoy it either dusted with confectioners’ sugar or topped off with a layer of creamy cream cheese frosting.

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 cups of apples, peeled
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon of salt


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Oil and flour a cake pan.
  2. Whisk together oil and eggs until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla, beating constantly.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, baking pop and salt. Add this to the egg mixture gradually mixing.
  4. Dice the apples and mix in by wooden spoon. Pour the mixture in an even layer into the  container.
  5. Place the cake container in the preheated oven and bake for roughly 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into it comes out easily.
  6. Put the cake on a wire rack and let cool. Enjoy!

Let the cake to cool completely before slicing to ensure a neater and more satisfying serving experience.
