Chermoula Grilled Fish is a flavorful and healthy North African dish. The fish is marinated in Chermoula, a zesty herb and spice mixture, then grilled to perfection, creating a delightful blend of aromatic spices and tender, flaky fish.

Ingredients:

  • 4 fish fillets (such as sea bass, snapper, or cod)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup of fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup of fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, cilantro, parsley, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, paprika, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to make the chermoula marinade.
  2. Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and coat them evenly with the chermoula marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated fish fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Notes:

  • You can adjust the spiciness by increasing or decreasing the amount of cayenne pepper in the marinade.
  • If a grill is not available, you can also cook the fish in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Serve with a side of couscous or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
