Enjoy the rich flavors of Spanish fig and almonds ball, a tasty fusion of crunchy almonds and sweet figs, delivering a perfect blend of Mediterranean sweetness in every bite.

Serves: makes 6 balls

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams dried whole fig, center of base and stalk removed
  • 100 grams almonds, toasted
  • 100 grams sesame seeds, toasted
  • 50 grams cranberries, dried
  • 85 grams apricot, dried
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cloves

Method:

  1. In a food processor, whizz the almonds until finely chopped and put in a bowl.
  2. Whizz the chopped figs in the processor until smooth sticky paste forms and mix this with almonds in the bowl. Also, mix in honey, cloves, and dried fruit.
  3. Divide the mixture into 6 parts and make balls of all.
  4. On a tray, tip the sesame seeds and roll the balls in them until covered.
  5. Tasty and healthy balls are ready to serve. You can also store them and enjoy them later for up to 2 months.

Notes:
Store the Fig and almond balls in an airtight box in a cool and dry place to maintain the freshness.
