Grilled Chicken Skewers

  • 1 kg Chicken thighs, Boneless and skinless, cut lengthways

For marination:

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tsp Ground cumin
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 150 g Natural yoghurt
  • 2 tsp Garlic granules (or 3 cloves of fresh garlic)
  • 1 Lemon, Zest and juice
  • 1/2 tsp Dried chilli flakes


  1. Combine the marinade ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl. Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or ideally, overnight (cover with cling film and refrigerate).
  2. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and cook for approximately 20 minutes, or until golden on the outside and fully cooked.

For extra flavor, consider adding some diced onions, bell peppers, or cherry tomatoes between the chicken pieces on the skewers before cooking.
