Serving: 4

  • Pizza dough (homemade or store-bought), enough for one 12-inch pizza
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup cooked ham, sliced or diced
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned and drained)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional for garnish)

  1. Preheat and Prepare:
    • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat as well. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle.
  2. Assemble the Pizza:
    • Lightly brush the dough with olive oil. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
    • Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Then, evenly distribute the ham and pineapple chunks over the cheese. Top with the remaining mozzarella. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Bake:
    • Transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  4. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. If desired, sprinkle dried oregano on top for an extra layer of flavor. Slice and serve hot.

  • For a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5 minutes before adding the toppings.
  • Adjust the amount of toppings according to your preference. For a healthier version, consider using low-fat cheese or adding bell peppers and onions.
