Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Resting Time: 30 minutes (marinating)
Total Time: 55 minutes
Serving: 4

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup white miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece ginger, grated
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish

  1. Marinate the Salmon:
    • In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until smooth.
    • Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare for Baking:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the Salmon:
    • Remove the salmon from the marinade and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

  • Do not marinate the salmon for too long as the miso can be quite salty.
  • Broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes if you prefer a slightly charred top.
  • Serve with steamed rice and vegetables to complete this wholesome meal.
