  • Preparation Time: 2 hours
  • Cooking Time: 20 minutes
  • Resting Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Serving: 4

Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil, for grilling
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric, cayenne pepper, paprika, and salt. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, shaking off any excess marinade.
  3. Lightly oil the grill grate. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is charred and cooked through.
  4. Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes:

  • For an authentic smoky flavor, consider cooking the chicken over charcoal.
  • Adjust the cayenne pepper according to your spice preference.
  • Marinating the chicken overnight will enhance the flavors.
